Just catching up and came across this. Gregg and the bands he was in was a big part of my life. I was a teenager in the 70s and remember so clearly what rock music added to the quality of existence. Even now all these years later it took this music to bring me back to life after losing two siblings in the last few years. So I for one am so grateful for those musicians whose music has endured the test of time. I imagine Greg and Neal will always have a profound friendship. Great work. ❤

Great interview. I’m so glad you mentioned that women made this film. I think telling Anita’s story needed to come from women, even though Marlon and Keith had a hand in its delivery. She, to myself and I’m guessing other women who are fans of this band in this particular era, was the embodiment of sovereignty. You mention she was the gf of 3 of the Stones but she is not defined by that fact. She held that shit together at Nellcote. I haven’t seen the film but I hope they talk about her being the force that kept things together in that period. I have been a Stones historian since I was 11 and this film is one of the most anticipated stories in the never ending tales told about these people. Anita was a physically gorgeous women, but a masculine force who rolled with and dove deep into the experiences of an oftentimes dangerous and chaotic life. Like you said, Dean, these people were Pirates. And she was at the helm. Long live Anita! Her glory, mistakes and experiences are fierce and seldom actualized even in the world of rock n roll. My heart goes out to Marlon and Angela. I’m glad to hear Marlon has a wonderful life. When your parents are junkies it can go all sorts of ways. I’m sure that tragedy plays front and center in this film. Man, can’t wait to watch it! 👍🕯️🕯️🕯️

When he talks about his emotions during performance, or the way he explains his painting process... Just great. He was always very charismatic, for example I love to come back to his part of the Metallica interview in Japan when he talked about the Grammy's and did a funny Stevie Wonder impression 😅 Really great interview ❤️

Saw QOTSA live for the first time ever last night in London, Ontario after being a fan for over 20 years. It was absolutely phenomenal, Josh is channeling some major Jim Morrison vibes in his performances. I was lucky and they played Straight Jacket Fitting, he always jumps into the crowd when they play that one, walks around, hugs everyone and is just vulnerable and one with the experience. If you're reading this and have the chance to see them live this tour, don't think twice!

It all changed for me the next year when my sister made me take her and her friends to go to an Amnesty International show at the outdoor Oakland Coliseum unfortunately for them Sting had not been included on that leg of the tour, but fortunately for me I got to see the great Tracy Chapman and Peter Gabriel and some guy named Bruce Springsteen with his band it was one of the coolest things I've ever seen he turned that 60,000 seater into a goddamn dive bar right before my eyes never seen anything like it since
